Dr. Doug Fraiser Linguistics Department

Dr. Doug Fraiser, our instructor was awarded the MESA Innovation award for his work incorporating new pedagogical methods in his Anthropological course.

Mr. Sombat Moontha Master of Arts Program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

Mr. Sombat is currently teaching English at English Department at the Faculty of Humanities, Chiangmai University, where he designs, and co-designs Fundamental English courses. He is now venturing into scholastic realm by publishing his academic works in prestige journals. His research interests include written corrective feedback, active learning, peer learning, learning autonomy, and technology-assisted learning.

Mr. Sonam Zangpo Sherpa Master of Arts Program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

Now teaches English at a Higher Secondary School in Bhutan, where he also serves as the Research Coordinator. He has published research articles in esteemed national and international journals, secured research grants, and presented papers at national seminars. His works can be accessed at https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4326-8018 In addition, he also holds the invited position as a 'peer-reviewer' for several Scopus-indexed journals. He also facilitates Professional Development workshops for teachers in the district on Teacher Research.

Pyi Nyein Aung (Tiger) Bachelor of Business Administration Program in International Business Management (IBM)

Tiger graduated with a GPA 4.0. He is an international citizen who thrives in diverse and dynamic environments. Currently, Tiger is an intern at KPMG Thailand, specifically as a Deal Strategy Associate based in Bangkok. His responsibilities include developing 5-year financial projections, creating a future state target operating model, and designing an implementation roadmap as part of the growth strategy formulation for a global nonprofit organization in the agriculture sector.

Nyi Nyein Aung (Leo) Bachelor of Science Program in Information Technology (IT)

Leo is the Natural leader with a deep passion for learning fast at adapting to new environments. Leo is now a research assistant at the Department of Information Technology of Payap University. He is responsible for data cleaning and data preprocessing for experiments, creating machine learning models for data analysis, and extracting features of electroencephalogram (EEG) data using signal processing techniques to analyze Event Related Potentials (ERPs). He published a paper to an international conference about using machine learning algorithm to diagnose migraine type of the patient.

Dayton Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Hospitality Industry Management (HIM)

Dayton is a passionate, determined, and service-oriented person. He loves to service people and enjoys working in hospitality industry. Currently, Dayton is a flight attendant for American Eagle. He is currently working at the regional side of American Airlines, servicing the US, Canada, Mexico, and various Caribbean Destinations.

Alfie Bachelor of Arts in English Communication (EC)

Alfie is one of the most outstanding students in the English for communication program. He is now a junior. He has been actively integrating his academic background into some activities like creative writing competitions, global arts awards, language learning communities and many others. For him, study is endless.

An excursion at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort

Welcome home, OUR PRIDE!  The 46th Commencement Ceremony of Payap University will be held on November 18th, 2023. Congratulations on your great success, and we hope you find happiness in everything you do after this. 

Cultural excursion Students developed their expertises in the Gastronomic tourism through excursions to gastronomic businesses in Chiang Mai.

An excursion at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort Students of the Hospitality Industry Management Department enjoyed the table manner training offered by the hotel management team. Through this hands-on experience, our students gained insights into components of hospitality and hotel operations.
