Information Technology
The Bachelor of Science Program in Information Technology is set up to develop its graduates with 21st century skills in Information Technology who can work efficiently with others in both government and private sectors, have morality and ethics, and are ready to work in the international level. Our IT program provides both theory and practical programming and network skills.
The curriculum is based on international standards (IEEE & ACM), recognized internationally, meets student’s needs with small class sizes, highly qualified faculty and we facilitate a safe and happy learning environment that ensures the widening of each student’s intellectual horizons.
We are open to innovation. We can work with you to structure a tailored program to match your interests and requirements. Using our seminars, special topics, senior project and independent study courses, we can offer the right program for you.

The student admissions and preparation process before the study commences as well as academic advising and counseling, retention, graduation, student satisfaction, and management of student complaints are as follows:
Students Admissions Process
The Department sets a target number for student admissions, takes into consideration labor market needs and the state of readiness in terms of full-time instructors.
Non-Thai students who are not also English Native speakers (which it’s mentioned on the IC website) are required to submit one or another English proficiency test below;
- TOEFL (iBT) test report: score 61 or above
- IELTS test report: score 6.0 or above
- CEFR at level B2 or above
Remarks: An English proficiency test report must be submitted and be issued not older than 2 years from the application date.
Any student who gets a lower English proficiency test score will be interviewed by the department head and considered to be in one of the following programs:
Foundation Studies Program: Successful completion of this program will ensure that students are fully prepared to enter the first year of their chosen undergraduate program within Payap University’s International College and they are able to apply for credit transfer.
Intensive English Program: After the student completed one course of the program and earned at least B2+ of Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT), they would be eligible to study in one of International College’s undergraduate programs.
The Bachelor of Science Program in Information Technology (B.Sc. in IT) keeps up with the rapid changes in the field by establishing foundational competencies coupled with the flexibility to adapt to new technological innovations so that students will be preparing themselves for the current skills and in demand in the workplace or for graduate study by the time of graduation.
In addition, the program has a memorandum of intent to collaboratively offer its students to take an optional dual degree program with Middlesex University London. This option allows students to gain a more comprehensive knowledge of a specific discipline as they are able to study in two different countries. Students will study at Payap University’s International College in Chiang Mai for 3 years and then at Middlesex University in London for another 1 year.
The total time is just 4 years, and they can get two bachelor’s degrees with 120 credits (General Education Courses 30 Credits, Major Courses at least 84 Credits, and Free Elective Courses at least 6 Credits).

2. Be able to solve problems in new situations by applying acquired information technology knowledge and techniques in a different way.
3. Be able to analyze, design, develop and evaluate information technology solutions, in recognition of business, law, society, and ethics.
4. Be able to focus on critical thinking and creativity skills, knowledge, and expertise in a different way by combing acquired knowledge and techniques or proposing alternative solutions.
5. Be able to cultivate “Truth and Service” by seeking excellence in both academics and virtue in order to understand the truth of life and to nurture an attitude of service to society.

For the entire 4-year course or 8 semesters:
Thai students: 540,250 baht (First semester: 65,150 baht)
International students: 620,250 baht (First semester: 75,150 baht)
